Pubblicato nel 1995, "Le catene di Eymerich" costituisce il terzo episodio della saga de "L'inquisitore catalano" ed è ambientato nel 1360 quando il frate, appena quarantenne ma già da tempo Inquisitore generale del Regno d'Aragona, viene inviato in missione in Valle d'Aosta.

Qui, nel villaggio di Chàxillon, sembra abbia trovato rifugio una comunità di catari sopravvissuti alle persecuzioni. Sulle tracce degli eretici, Eymerich procede nelle indagini: attorno a lui si moltiplicano inquietanti prodigi mentre creature mostruose e apparentemente immortali gli sbarrano il passo.

Bellissimo

Un altro bel libro pieno di colpi di scena e di ricorsi storici. Secondo libro forse ancora migliore del primo. Spero usciranno tutto i 13 volumi della serie.
