Depressionen treten im Jugendalter häufiger auf, als man gemeinhin denkt. Depressionen sind aber nicht zu verwechseln mit Rückzug, Verstummen, Lebensüberdruss und Hoffnungslosigkeit. Auch wenn all das für die Eltern quälend sein kann, so muss doch die richtige Balance gefunden werden zwischen gewähren und ins Gespräch kommen, zwischen Rückzug und Kontakt. Dafür müssen Mütter und Väter ebenfalls in der Beziehung zu ihren Kindern bleiben und dürfen sich nicht ihrerseits gekränkt, entmutigt oder vorwurfsvoll zurückziehen. Ein Beitrag über die besonderen Schwierigkeiten der Erziehungsarbeit mit Heranwachsenden.
