Tim y sus amigos forman parte del grupo de teatro del profesor Wegner y planean representar una obra que se desarrolla en una comunidad de México antes de que estalle la revolución, y que tiene como protagonista a una bruja. Lilith, una chica solitaria ajena al grupo, se queda con ese papel y, curiosamente, desde que ella se une, cosas extrañas empiezan a suceder. El profesor organiza un campamento para los últimos ensayos de la obra; en él ocurren cosas cada vez más violentas y los miembros del grupo comienzan a desaparecer; eventualmente, todos señalan como culpable a la bruja. Tim parece ser su único aliado y deberá ayudarla a sobrevivir a aquel campamento, donde la realidad y la ficción parecen haberse fundido.
