Und was man da zu hören bekommt, sind wahrlich unangenehme Geständnisse. Wie schon in "Schrecklich amüsant - aber in Zukunft ohne mich" präsentiert sich Wallace als äußerst eigenwilliger Erzähler, der mit staunenswerter Leichtigkeit Stimmen und Register wechselt und immer für eine Überraschung gut ist.
