Ottesen er en mester udi spændingens kunst, og på trods af en aldrig svigtende irritation over Miras umådelig egoistiske og navlebeskuende opførsel, så slap jeg faktisk ikke bogen, før den var læst færdig ud på de tidlige morgentimer. "Krystalhjertet" er både en fabelagtig afslutning på en yderst velfortalt og relevant historie og en nutidig pigeroman i fantasyklæder. Det er endog meget flot gået af Josefine Ottesen, der de seneste år velfortjent har kunnet sole sig i en lang række priser for sine fantasyromaner.
