Der Hund ist hin- und hergerissen in Hundeliebe und Hundetreue zwischen altem und neuem Herrn und stirbt an diesem Konflikt in Qual und Pein. Eine traurige und bittere Tiergeschichte vom Feinsten, die das Herz zu Tränen rührt. "Die Treue ist etwas ganz Heiliges." Mehrmals verfilmt.
