About this listen

'A fantastic read, a rollicking, page-turning, edge-of-your-seat road-trip of a book' - John Gwynne, author of Shadow of the Gods

Clay Cooper and his band were once the best of the best - the meanest, dirtiest, most feared and admired crew of mercenaries this side of the Heartwyld.

But their glory days are long past; the mercs have grown apart and grown old, fat, drunk - or a combination of the three. Then a former bandmate turns up at Clay's door with a plea for help: his daughter Rose is trapped in a city besieged by an enemy horde one hundred thousand strong and hungry for blood. Rescuing Rose is the kind of impossible mission that only the very brave or the very stupid would sign up for.

It's time to get the band back together for one last tour across the Wyld.

'Every avid fantasy reader, pay attention and let me do you a favour. Make sure you read this book no matter what. As of now, I'm calling Kings of the Wyld one of the best fantasy debuts of all time' Petrik Leo, Novel Notions

Outstanding Story and Narration!

I loved everything about this book. A fantastic fantasy story with well fleshed out characters who you root for til the very end, the comedic spin and exciting set pieces made this a joy to read. One of my new favourites.

Great fun story

I only listened to this because I love Jeff Harding narrations but ended up loving this great rollicking adventure. Great humour in it also. It really is worth a listen if you like a fast fun story.

One of my favourite authors Mark Tufo mentioned he was reading Kings of the Wyld. I thought I'd see what it was like.

A really fun story with great moments.

This story was great. I did struggle in tje beginning with Jeff Harding's narration, there was nothing wrong with, far from it infact, i was just so used to him being the voice of Jack Reacher. But once I got past that he was a great fit for the story and characters. I was already downloading the next book before i was half way through. I was laughing out loud a lot listening to this book. I thoroughly recommend it to anyone who loves fantasy and especially if you've ever played D&D.

Slow Handed Review

Hi, Hello.

I’m here to quickly say a work about my now favourite book of all time.

I am not a deep fantasy land, i hand the Uruks in lord of the rings, i hate magic in harry potter. I flinch when i hear some hocus pocus shit they call some of the creatures. I lose interest almost instantly. Although i’m a sucker for a base level badass story about mercenaries past their golden years, a black and white tale. I am so happy and glad to say this book is far from black and white. I was fascinated by the description of every creature, monster, man, woman, diseased thing they came across. The explanation of feeling and the description of the atmosphere surrounding this amazing assortment of characters. I found myself getting goose bumps at points and genuinely feeling for the characters, what they did, why they did it and the toll/ consequences of their actions. I was completely gripped and attached by the end of chapter one. This book is expertly written and gripping, the most underrated book i have personally had the pleasure of stumbling across. Written expertly and voiced to the crisp. This is a must pick up audio book for anyone who is anyone. As Golden Gabe once said, let’s not just live, let’s become immortal. 10/10 or 5/5 whatever the shit Audible rates on.

Peace out my Owlbears.

Deep Reflection on D&D

loved what it had to say about the bonding of players at the table, and the evolution of the game over the years. very clever. I truly enjoyed how this novel's main fantasy villain was represented.
