About this listen

One sister. Two sinful princes. Infinite deception with a side of revenge.... Welcome to Hell.

From the number one New York Times best-selling author Kerri Maniscalco comes the sizzling and sweepingly romantic sequel to Kingdom of the Wicked.

With the enigmatic Prince of Wrath at her side, Emilia sold her soul to become Queen of the Wicked and travelled to the Seven Circles to fulfil her vow of avenging her beloved sister.

But the first rule in the court of the Wicked? Trust no one. And it quickly becomes clear that nothing in Hell is what it seems. Even Wrath, her onetime ally, may be keeping secrets about his true nature. But that suits Emilia just fine - she's got secrets of her own.

Faced with backstabbing courtiers, princes who delight in fear, luxurious palaces, dazzling galas, and conflicting clues about what truly happened to her sister, Emilia finds herself on a mission to unlock the mysteries of her own past and uncover the answers she craves.

As long as her sins don't catch up to her first....

This was so enjoyable!
The first book had me intrigued, this second book has me committed.
The writing is impeccable, combining wit, charm and elegance that flows so smoothly throughout the story.

I started the series with the impression it was YA but I can confirm from book 2 things get deliciously steamy.
The push and pull tension between Wrath and Emilia was excruciating, yet in the best way. Not to mention the banter *chefs kiss*
I couldn’t help but be frustrated with Emilia at times but she made up for it with her quirky brazenness and wit.

One thing I absolutely adore in the series is how Maniscalco’s Italian influence is a prominent imprint within the story and how she tantalizes the reader with her heavy depicted scenes involving food. Love it!

Sinfully delicious!

Wow, this book was a surprise to say the least. I may have to talk to my local book store, as they always have this series in the YA section... This is not YA. Haha. This is very much NA, with steam and spice. I loved every bit of it! The main story took awhile to get too due interruptions of... handsome demons, sex, lust... and all the spice 🥵. I'm loving the supernatural elements with a dark and gothic setting. I hope the author goes deeper into this world. There seems to be so many possibilities.

I listened to all three books in this series because the story was captivating.
the struggle here for me was the narrator. flipping between posh British and Italian in the same sentence (not for character voices just because) was a little distracting. changing pace was a put off.
I do have to give her credit for her efforts in the character voices. most of the time, you could tell when someone else was talking quite easily.

good story
