Thoroughly enjoyed. Different story to the normal which I liked. So many heart wrenching moments. Not as much spice as the others but still just as juicy. Would recommend

What a roller coaster

King of Greed was undoubtedly one of my most anticipated reads this year, and I devoured this book in about 3 hours after coming home from work late at night and literally setting an alarm to make sure that I was awake to read this book as soon as it was released.

Two things can be true at the same time: Me loving it unconditionally, and also me wishing there was more.
We enter Dom and Ale's relationship when they are at their breaking point, and after Dom misses their 10 year anniversary, Ale decides that she has had enough and seeks to find herself outside of her failing marriage. The highlight of the book undoubtedly had to be Dom and his realisation of 1.) what the most important thing in his life is, and 2.) How he fights for his marriage.

Their flashbacks to the happier times in their relationship gives a depth to their story that isn't felt with the previous couples in the twisted and king's universe. My stomach somersaulted every time Dom went out of his way to prove his love to Ale, both in the past (where he handmade 1000 paper roses) to the present, where he accepted all of Ale's demands, and gave her what she truly needed. His time and love. Though he isn't without fault, I understood his greed for success given his backstory and why he became blinded to everything else but the riches that surround him.

Ale broke my heart from the get-go as I understand what it means to put others first because you love them, even at the cost of your time, resources, and at times, yourself. Ana has this incredible knack of writing characters that people can genuinely relate to. I loved seeing Ale try new things and try to discover the things that make her happy and fulfilled. After losing yourself for that long, it is joy to witness Ale's growth and quiet confidence as she takes the reins of her life back- and though I don't have a failing marriage, it is something that inspired me after so long of living a life for others.

My only wish was for the greater exploration of their past, and the development of the side characters (namely - Dom's brother). But perhaps this is setting up for another universe (I WOULD EAT THAT STORY UP SO QUICK BRO). Also CAN WE PLEASE GET MORE OF VUK MARKOVIC.
Also, also :Dom's inner monologue (especially when he is jealous) and the way he roasts Aiden is hilarious to me. Who knew a Wall Street Titan could have such a filthy mouth.

Also, also, also: Dominic? More like, DOMINATE ME. Jheeze lousie he is unbelievable as a lover.

I think Ana really speaks to my soul with her characters and stories. Because at the end of the day - all we want is someone who would fight for us, and with us against all adversity. We want the happy ending, whatever it may look like. And we want the person in our life that knows us better than ourselves and who feels like home.

With Ana's novels you can perhaps know/guess the story even before it plays out in its entirety, but her style of writing and ability to make her characters feel like living, breathing entities, ensures that people, or at least I, will find a piece of home in her books.
The audiobook provides a beautiful depth to the characters and the story 🤎

Spice: 2.5/5 (in saying that - this was perfect for the story - which relied more on the emotional rather than purely physical connection.)

Out of the three books so far, this is the one I have enjoyed. The story line is lighter and more relatable but the narrators were also engaging and I felt they portrayed the characters well. The chemistry from the characters in this third book were much suited than the other two.

Absolutely obsessed with both these narrators they were incredible. Vanessa’s voice is absolutely beautiful and i am going to investigate what else she has narrated!!!! she’s got the best female voice i’ve heard. teddy was also great he played this character well but i already liked him and knew that

This was a heart breaking story. Of marriage that had been lost but found again. A husband that wouldn’t give up. A wife that had to find herself before they could be one again.

Better than the second in the series but not as good as the first, which was fire 🥵 Teddy Hamilton was on point. The female narrator was a little monotone at times. Loved the Twisted crossover with Jules and Josh making an appearance. Looking forward to the next book 💖

Ana Huang writes grovelling well! The voices of teddy and Vanessa were perfect! I didn’t give 5 star for story because honestly the brother Roman stuff was kind of weird & im left on a cliff hanger that I don’t care about which feels odd. Although might be in the next book, don’t know that yet. Anyway loved it!
