This was my first Scarlett St. Clair read/listen and definitely won’t be my last. Absolutely loved everything about it… great storyline with all the feels! Lilly Drake’s performance was top notch. Her characters were believable and identifiable which you don’t always get with some narrators. Highly recommended.

The voice acting left everything to be desired. every moment felt the same pace. Almost DNF due to it. store line was okay. Pretty predictable, but did play out nicely.

if you've never read a spicy book before then maybe don't start with this one 😂 the story is a bit on the predictable side, and the pacing is quick, but that doesn't mean that it isn't incredible. I cannot wait for the second book 🙌🏾🙌🏾

A great story about coming to terms with our perceptions and how we are lied to - or brainwashed by others to be their tools. At times I found Isolde a little naive in her views of her role and how she coped with what was presented to her but really enjoyed the development and unpacking of the truth. Looking forward to her helping her mothers people and catching the witch that got away. Perfect balance of steamy romance and adventure/intrigue !

Really loved this book. Absolutely flew through it, and didn’t want to stop listening. This was my first fantasy style book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The spice was great, but the book also had an interesting and captivating storyline.
FMC performance was astounding, hence the 5 star rating. I agree with the other reviews that the MMC voice in the bonus chapter just did not match, though that was the only let down of the book.
Would recommend!

The plot was a good one, however the author never expanded, it was secondary to the constantly horny main characters and that’s what this book was. Smut, with no t much else. I still don’t know anything about Adrian.
I just prefer more build up, more storyline, more depth than just the sex. And that’s what this was. I dnf as I could see the twist that was coming, and it was just boring.
