The book is an enjoyable read, and as I haven’t read the other in the series, I’d say it works well as an independent story. The plot is complex and every event matters from the very start all the way to the end. I felt very satisfied by the conclusion. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for an entertaining real-world mercenary vibe.
