Story
Minalan gave up a promising career as a professional warmage to live the quiet life of a village spellmonger in the remote mountain valley of Boval. It was a peaceful, beautiful little fief, far from the dangerous feudal petty squabbles of the Five Duchies, on the world of Callidore. There were cows. Lots of cows. And cheese. For six months things went well: He found a quaint little shop, he befriended the local lord, the village folk loved him, he found a sharp young apprentice to help out, and, best yet, he met a comely young widow with the prettiest eyes.

Story
Seventy-five years ago, the dragons fell from the sky. We thought they were just meteorites - six terrifying explosions rang the world like a bell. When the dust settled, we went on with our lives as though nothing had happened. More than a decade later, five of the eggs hatched. The dragons that emerged were small and weak. They kept to the shadows, working in secret to persuade people to do their bidding, offering magic as payment and reward. Years passed...and still we didn't notice the evil growing in our midst.

The meeting will be historic: 60 years ago, the Order's enemies attacked them with a host of demons, forcing the Order to trap the monsters inside their own citadel and seal it shut with impenetrable wards. Story
From the moment Dara of Westwood spied the Silver Headed Raptor nesting in Rundeval Peak, the precocious redheaded 12-year-old girl was enchanted. The youngest daughter of the Master of the Wood lived in ramshackle Westwood Hall, in the independently minded Westwood estate of Sevendor. Her determination to capture a baby falcon and train it wasn’t hampered by the fact that Dara had never climbed a mountain, had never been trained in falconry, or even remotely had permission from her father to do it.

Publisher's Summary
It has been 18 years since the fall of the Reborn King, and Jayden Stedding, son of Gewey, dreams of adventure. Life as a farmer in Sharpstone offers very little excitement. But like his father before him, fate will descend like a storm and soon he will learn that with adventure comes peril. And when you are the son of a god, that peril can shatter worlds.
Heaven is once again in turmoil and Gewey Stedding is missing. And it falls to Jayden to find him. But his journey will take him places even the gods fear to tread. Carried to the edge of madness, he must restore hope and prevent time itself from being upended.

The Journey continues
I am thrilled Brian Anderson has chosen to continue the story. The plot and character development are very well crafted. I especially like listening to characters in previous novels and how they are woven into this new adventure. Derek, once again was an excellent choice to continue the narration. His talent in making the characters come alive is amazing. I hope Brian will be releasing the next volume very soon!

Unexpected, confounding, and desperate for book 8
Not expecting book 7, it was pleasantly surprising To find this installment. Things take an unexpected turn which is a bit baffling. I fear I will not rest until the next book is out, however the author seems preoccupied with other tasks. This delay is nearly unbearable.

Brilliant Opening to continue the series!
A brilliant start to continue the series!
This takes place many years later after books 1-6. Gewey Steding now has 3 full-grown kids. And he is missing. It's up to his son to try and find his father, and save his mother. The problem? Half the Gods are on his side, the other Half ... want to see him fail. The plot is great, and the entire story has you on the edge of your seat. It's great to revisit some old characters, as well as see some new ones! This is one of my favorite series by Brian D. Anderson, and I'm very excited to see him revisiting it!
I can't wait to read the next book. The narrator of the audio book, as always, does a fantastic job! I think there's only one more planned in this series, but Brian can just keep on going, and I'll keep on reading this series!
