Als Johnny in der Nähe eines Kinos die bewusstlose Mrs. Tachyon, eine obdachlose alte Dame, findet und ins Krankenhaus bringt, entdeckt er, dass es sich bei dem Einkaufswagen mit ihren Habseligkeiten um eine Zeitmaschine handelt. Mithilfe dieses Trolleys kehrt Johnny in die Zeit des Zweiten Weltkriegs zurück. Ihn begleiten seine Freunde Stephen, auch bekannt als Wobbler, Bigmac, Kirsty und Yo-less.
