Publisher's Summary

If the women who followed Jesus could tell you what he was like, what would they say?

Jesus' treatment of women was revolutionary. That's why they flocked to him. Wherever he went, they sought him out. Women sat at his feet and tugged at his robes. They came to him for healing, for forgiveness, and for answers. So what did women see in this first-century Jewish rabbi, and what can we learn as we look through their eyes today?

In Jesus through the Eyes of Women, Rebecca McLaughlin explores the life-changing accounts of women who met the Lord. By entering the stories of the named and unnamed women in the Gospels, this book gives listeners a unique lens to see Jesus as these women did and marvel at how he loved them in return.

Illuminating and Essential

This book is phenomenal. Absolutely recommend to everyone, regardless of your religious views. Rebecca McLaughlin has done an excellent job of thoroughly and engagingly taking us through the Bible and the stories of women in it to help us see more clearly the cultural context they lived in and how to better understand God’s view of women both then and now. I’ve bought a physical copy of this book so I can share it with everyone. Loved it so much!

The essential witness of women to the revelation of Jesus as God’s son

Brilliant, eloquent, precise, thoroughly researched and utterly heart warming are just a few ways to describe this beautiful book. The intelligence and determination of the author to leave no stone unturned are evident throughout. The author has an ability to bring scholarly authority but also include personal and very down to earth examples to make her point. Very accessible for all and. Highly recommended. What a joy to read of the love Jesus has for women and the devotion returned to him.
