About this listen

A rollicking collection of six fully dramatised Jeeves & Wooster novels, starring Michael Hordern and Richard Briers.

In The Inimitable Jeeves, Aunt Agatha is forcing Bertie to get engaged to the formidable Honoria Glossop. Can Jeeves save the day?
Right Ho, Jeeves sees mayhem breaking out at Brinkley Court, but there are more brains in the Wooster household than just Jeeves...
In The Code of the Woosters, who would think that a silver cow-creamer could cause so much trouble? Uncle Tom wants it and Aunt Dahlia is blackmailing Bertie to steal it.
In Joy in the Morning, Steeple Bumphleigh is a village to be avoided for Bertie, as it contains the appalling Aunt Agatha. Still, there are good deeds to be done.
Jeeves and the Feudal Spirit finds Jeeves in for a few surprises when returns from his annual shrimping holiday in Bognor Regis.
In Stiff Upper Lip, Jeeves, Madeline Bassett and Gussie Fink-Nottle’s engagement is on the rocks, and poor Bertie's next in line for the fair maiden’s hand.

Publisher’s note: As of January 2025, the dramatisations have been re-ordered into their correct order, by original broadcast date.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to these radio dramas. The dialogue was amusing and droll. The plots farcical. The characters well dramatised. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Farcical, witty and a lovely turn of phrase

As the title alludes, in the 21st century, we are in desperate need of the return to radio dramas in the hilarious, slapstick vein of P,G, Wodehouse and his Wooster/Jeeves collections.

I baulked when purchasing this collected radio dramas, 17 hours....good grief, BUT now, having come to the end, I am sorely miffed that there simple isn't anymore.

The voice actors and the background sound effects are superb yransporting you to the various sites and activities as though you were a present bystander. PIp Pip and Hurrah to all involved in this wonderful series.

I do hope Audible collect and offer the Australian radio series "Yes, What!" or colloquially known as "Greenbottle",

Absolutely LOVED this audio "book",

We need the return of Radio Dramas

One can't help but become amused or even chuckle, when listening to the adventures and romps of Jeeves and Bertie (Wooster).
So wonderfully performed that the characters come to life.
Beautifully written by P. G. Wodehouse in an imaginary 1920's like time.

Magnificent!

I had my doubts as to Richard Bryers playing Bertie Wooster but these plays were fantastic and he played Bertie to a tee!

Or, as Jeeves would perhaps put it, “indubitably a highly entertaining radio drama with melodramatic elements of a highly amusing nature, sir”.

An absolute gas, what?

I love listening to these Jeeves and Wooster stories. Richard Briers and Michael Hordern are perfect . My only criticism is that the books are not in the correct order. It seems so simple to get this right, and yet, whoever put it together didn’t bother to do that.

Wonderful stories, marvellously performed

Richard Briers is topping in the role of Bertie and Michael Horden is a first class Jeeves. A great distraction in early 2021!

A great escape

Having heard repeats on the radio of these in my younger years it was wonderful to come across them on Audible. If we can get the missing stories it would be amazing.

Always a joy to listen to

Takes you back to an amusing time of gentlemen speak, persistent marriage proposals and eccentric aunts. Beautiful
