It was just ok

Hardly a "story", more like a somewhat interesting documentary.
There could have been a story here, but the telling was overdone with dry facts.

Not 2hat I expected

for a book about the ripper, I wasn't expecting all the references to popular films or actors who had portrayed other key players in this investigation. Also the length of the book, it should have been concentrated on the actually investigation and not the modern day popularization of the myth.
