About this listen

A faceless gang of bikers on a wild hunt through the streets of present-day Ottawa hurtles young Jacky Rowan across the threshold into the perilous land of Faerie. There, to her dismay, she is hailed as the Jack of Kinrowan, a once-and-future trickster hero whose lot is to save the Elven Courts from unimaginable evil.

I always loved Jack and the beanstalk, so this book was a joy for its new fresh take on an old story keeping in mind this is a different Jack(ie) in a different time. I'd be more then happy to listen again with my kids on our next car trip..

Good Fun..

Having grown up on fairy tales this was an easy listening distraction. Not going to see the world on fire but held my interest, drawing on familiar tales, and giving them a modern day twist.

Fairytale for adults
