Voice actor Diedre Rubenstein has a warm, commanding voice, and displays great acting range in her performance of this gripping audiobook. Rubenstein has mastered a style of narration that is both authoritative and intimate, and her foray into Dettman’s dramatic work is successful, gripping, and eminently listenable.

confronting and violent

I am going to return if poss. there is nothing in the sample that suggests such a violent rape. This should have trigger alert as it could inadvertently cause distress to some readers. I am not in that category but it certainly changed my cooking day and I went for a walk to clear my head.
didn't get past the first couple of chapters.
