About this listen

Jake Holden has it all. Or, so he thinks.

He is married to a beautiful and talented woman, has two cute kids that love and adore him, drives a nice car and, for the last five years he has been his own man: Running his own business. Life is good, for the most part, and he lives by the twin truths of work hard and do the right thing. So far, they’ve pretty much gotten him everything he wants.

When an old friend calls to invite Jake on a fishing trip with a bunch of Christian guys, he is tentative since he is not religious, and he finds most Christians fake and boring. Despite his reservations, and spurred on by his wife, Jake accepts the invitation.

How can a fishing trip change a man? It is amazing what the beauty of the great outdoors, great fishing, contagious laughter, excellent food, and the company of other good men can do to help a stranger realign his priorities and find some deeper answers for life.

Jake Holden has it all. But he has to go fishing to find out “it’s not about fishing".
