About this listen

A month before her death on May 20, 1989, Gilda Radner entered a Los Angeles recording studio to deliver what would be her final performance - this remarkable audio autobiography, in which she reveals the inspirational story of her struggle with cancer...a private, personal battle in which the humor and humanity that has touched millions became her most powerful weapon.©1989 Gilda Radner, All Rights Reserved (P)1989 Simon & Schuster Inc., All Rights Reserved Entertainment & Celebrities Historical Women Witty

Not knowing exactly what Gilda’s book would entail it was more than relatable for I who had gone through cancer myself albeit cervical not ovarian.
Gilda walks you through her life with such poise amidst the upheaval. Her cancer journey features heavily and as it should being it consumed her young life. Though her pursuit and love for husband Gene was evident start to finish. I highly recommend listening to Gilda narrate her own book. It’s beautiful listening to her tell her own story.

Charming, personable, warm, and moving. Gilda is endlessly fascinating, funny, sweet, and honest. What a gift to be about to hear her story in her own voice.

I thought this would be insightful and inspiring, however it was a 3 hour self indulgent recount of the authors’ treatment
