Publisher's Summary
The final Guardians Trilogy novel from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Bay of Sighs and Stars of Fortune.
As the hunt for the Star of Ice leads the six guardians to Ireland, Doyle, the immortal, must face his tragic past. Three centuries ago, he closed off his heart, yet his warrior spirit is still drawn to the wild. And there's no one more familiar with the wild than Riley - and the wolf within her....
An archaeologist, Riley is no stranger to the coast of Clare, but now she finds herself on unsure footing, targeted by the dark goddess who wants more than the stars, more than the blood of the guardians. While searching through Irish history for clues that will lead them to the final star and the mysterious Island of Glass, Riley must fight her practical nature and admit her sudden attraction to Doyle is more than just a fling. For it is his strength that will sustain her and give her the power to run towards love - and save them all....

Epic finish
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes but they would have to read the other two first.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Island of Glass?
Doyle reliving his past to his friends and finally finding peace.
Which character – as performed by Saskia Maarleveld – was your favourite?
I really can't pick one I just knew after listening to the previous books which characters was being quoted as saying by the different inflections in Saskia's voice.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Annika didn't think she could ask for legs long term.

NR Trilogy - great story
I enjoy NR's work and am a big fan. This 3rd book had a few unexpected elements (no spoilers from me) and some expected elements. When you have a Seer as one of the main characters, you get a glimpse of what is coming.
While I enjoyed most of the performance, it was difficult to hear the difference between Bran & Doyle much of the time. And there were a few times the lead ladies sounded alike. That was the most disappointing thing about this story for me. Even with that, I am glad they didn't change performers. That is a jolt for me.
I was taken away on a journey with this trilogy which is exactly what I want and expect from NR!

Decent story, but where's the character growth?
This is a typical Nora Roberts trilogy, and maybe that's the problem. I expect more from a trilogy then I got from this. For a story that covers three books, there was little to no character growth. In particular, Sasha made me want to virtually smack some backbone into her. I can understand hesitancy and uncertainty at the beginning, but by book three, she shouldn't turn into a quivering heap of irritation at every challenge.
But that was true of all the characters. Other than the hook-ups, there is little difference in most of them from the first book to the last (with the exception of the mermaid). A good story isn't enough any more. You need good characters to go with them, and Roberts might have pulled this batch out one too many times.

Ending seemed rushed
There was not as much a distinction between the voices of the characters as I'm previous books. This meant I was often confused on who was speaking. Also the end of the storey seemed rushed. once they got to their destination it seemed there were lots of details skimmed over to finish the story. it could hasn't been a four book series with the quest to end the witch at the end. #romance #thriller #mystery #suspense #tagsgiving #sweepstakes #series #engaging

Nora does it again
Would you consider the audio edition of Island of Glass to be better than the print version?
Loved this series. I'm a huge Nora fan and she didn't disappoint. It's such a let down when I finish because I always want more and want to know what happens next. I'll re-listen to them again and again.
What did you like best about this story?
Very well written. She really knows how to develop a story and keep you engaged without getting bored.
What about Saskia Maarleveld’s performance did you like?
I've recently listened to another series by another author and all 7 of the narrations were terrible. Saskia knows how to make each character different and has a pleasing voice.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
YES and I almost did. I finished it in 1 1/2 days.

Not up to Nora Roberts's Usual Standards
I waited, with baited breath, for the release of the final part of this trilogy series so perhaps my expectations were high. It seems they were too high: this trilogy felt like a regurgitation of her Circle trilogy.

Fire, Water and Ice- A winning Finale
What made the experience of listening to Island of Glass the most enjoyable?
It was the narrative style; the writing was poetic and very descriptive; made me want to visit Ireland and see it for myself.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
I felt satisfied, as it was happy; it felt final. In my opinion, however, there could have been more about what happened, say; a year or two after. All in all, however; I really enjoyed it.
Which scene did you most enjoy?
The scene where we visited the fabled Island of Glass and all of its beauty. I do wonder if it would look different in different parts of the world, as it is not a fixed location.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It was a mixture of emotions; though I had to say I was laughing at some parts;.
Any additional comments?
If you're planning on reading this- definitely start with the first one(Stars of Fortune), if you read/listen to this; you're going to miss out on some serious character development.
Happy Reading!

Amazing book.
Where does Island of Glass rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It is in my top 50 books.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I loved rylie because of her connections and also her fearless attetude. However i loved Doyle just as much as he had a lot to cope with but he was loyal and true.
What about Saskia Maarleveld’s performance did you like?
I thought that she read the book really well, and the fact that she kept the characters identity threw out the whole book.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I was happy and sad in parts.
Any additional comments?
Fantastic series of books, it is one i will come back to in the future that is for sure. Not a fan of fanticy normally but this is making me think that i should give the jonra more of a chance.
