The end was a little sudden but the way the last chapter handles it works well I think. It was a good book overall, got some nice battles and the tension was built for the climax as well as the rest of the series. When the next book comes out I hope there's a decent time skip, it would give the the scale of the war and the space civilisations a nice perspective.
