第二次世界大戦の空襲を免れた谷根千には、木造住宅が多く残ります。
また、細い路地の中ほどに隠れるように雑貨屋があるなど、東京探訪の冒険心をくすぐる場所がたくさんあります。
なかでも谷中は、1980年代のバブル時代には開発の遅れた場所といわれていた半面、現在でも江戸時代の地図で歩けるほど、昔ながらの暮らしが息づいています。
