Must Listen!

There are many people that experience tumultuous moments that lead to depressive and arduous stage(s) in their life. I for one experienced depression at a dark moment of my life and really wished that I would have read this book years ago! The detailed steps in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy has now has prepared me to know what actions I should do to avoid any other dark moments in my life going forward. The most resonating lesson that I gained from the book was that our emotions and thoughts (not the event) are what drives our overall feelings, thoughts and memory of an experience.

Recommended!

I absolutely enjoy the depths Wallace went to in the book to explain the different types of thoughts that effect people along with the successful ways to overcome the negative thoughts in our personal thoughts. The therapy tips in this book are easy to apply to ones everyday life in order to make positive changes. I plan to implement the concept of a thought journal into my life in order to help keep my anxiety as well as other issues in and under control. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is truly an inspirational book in my opinion anyway, I would recommend this book to those out there that have anxiety issues, negative thoughts and just feel down on their luck.

Useful Audiobook!

This book offers easy to use tips, with plenty of outside references that back up the advice inside. Highly recommended to help people who have anxiety to better understand and deal with the internal and external triggers that exacerbate their condition.

This book is an excellent overview of CBT!!

This book is an excellent overview of CBT, making it very accessible for the everyday anxiety sufferer. Reading Daniel Anderson’s explanations of why anxiety occurs, what kind of anxieties benefit from CBT, and ways to cope with anxiety symptoms like intrusive thoughts helped me understand why my brain works the way it does. I found the mantra section to be particularly helpful, and repeating my mantra when I feel anxiety creeping in has helped me to calm myself much faster. If you’re curious about CBT or want to learn more about anxiety and treatments, pick up this book. You won’t be sorry. Must listening!

Wonderful performance by the narrator

After being in a rehabilitation program that focuses on Introducing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, this audiobook is a great refresher to help after you leave. I had a more severe case of anxiety and depression which required a more inpatient program. After I left, I struggled to keep up with the daily activities that I needed to do. This audioobook was great to help me keep on track. I highly recommend if you can't go to into a program but want to learn the same information.

Learning guide forever

I enjoyed it. It takes you on a personal trip to help you deal with your level of anxiety and depression. Gives you things to work on and think about. I have already applied some of the techniques to personal thinking. Recommend this to anyone who might be dealing with these issues.
