Deshalb hat man auch Inspektor Kenjiro Takeda, Mitarbeiter der Mordkommission Tokio und zurzeit als Hospitant in Deutschland tätig, zum Tatort geschickt. Doch Takeda ist skeptisch. Zu recht, wie sich bald herausstellt, denn es finden sich Spuren, die auf Mord hindeuten, und Verdächtige gibt es auch genug. Gemeinsam mit seiner deutschen Partnerin, Hauptkommissarin Claudia Harms, nimmt Takeda - auf seine Weise - die Ermittlungen auf.
