this is one to be relistened and referenced over time. I have the printed version but found this audiobook very helpful, especially being narrated by the author, in gaining more of an understanding of the broad subject matter.

Very thorough analysis of Christian mysticism, with a good introduction to material shared with other mystical traditions. Covered all my favourite Christian mystics.

Excellent explanation of mystical symbolism in the Christian tradition and many pearls of wisdom to be found here.

If you’re looking to go deeper into your own faith/practice or even for an open minded non-Christian (those who have become disenchanted with institutionalised Christianity), this is a deeply insightful book. Will definitely listen to more than once and bookmarked it with many notes. It also provides great material for anyone teaching this subject.
