Let down in the sound editing

There is a glaring difference in sound levels throughout the performance. Mostly it sounds normal - then in the middle of sentences the narrator is suddenly right behind you talking directly into your ear.

Audio Levels Vary Widely.

Often between Paragraphs. Sometimes within Sentences. Story wise you know what you're getting. Narrator always good. just the sound levels let it down, jolting the listener out of the experience.

Great story but...

This is a great story but the recording is not the typical quality. The sound is the most noticeable when a part that was recorded at a different time is brought in. Sound is lower or clarity is different. I have never experienced this with a book of this caliber.

Inca gold..... WOW

I have listened to almost all of the Cussler books, and the way they’re written, it’s hard not to become close friends with the heroes. And the last half of Inca gold drew me in as if I were one of the characters fighting for my life. near the end of the story, it was hard not to listen to the rest of the book in one sitting . At the end, I was so emotionally drawn in that it took several days to keep my eyes from watering. And of course, Scott Brick Knows how to tell the story.

The screen play writes itself!

I enjoy the Pitt series quite a bit and this may be one of the best yet! All of the usual suspects are there in an intriguing and action filled story that is both close to home (for those of us in North America), yet far away. Scott Brick is, as always, the Voice! My favorite narrator in the genre.

This is the book that ruined Cussler for me

Between his incessant opining of how America is the only country that hasn’t adopted the metric system (thankfully) to his turning this book into a massive collection of commercials for the products made by his highest bidders, it was just a disappointment. Brick is always fantastic, and Pitt stories are always great. Stop being such a shill for the metric system. Majority of your readers are American, and we’re obviously not interested in the metric system. Could have saved 2 hours off this recording by just leaving out the metric crap with all the conversions.

Audio

Audio is erratic for about 3/4 of the book. Apart from that glitch, the same quality of story and performance I’ve come to expect with Custer/Brick combo.

Strange narration

Somtimes a different voice narrates parts, it's very perturbing and doesn't match the rest told.
