This book is amazing however the audio is not.
I read this book throughout my first pregnancy and found it so incredibly helpful in regards to having and inspiring me to have a natural birth so the above reviews are confusing to me? I think when it comes to having a natural birth, this book is truly helpful. However I would suggest reading it verses the audio book. The narrator sounds like a robot who calls your house trying to sell something. It isn’t very pleasant to listen to! Definitely recommend the hard copy instead.

this book is amazing. the narration is not.
Oh no! I am so disappointed to have downloaded the audio version of this book, only to find it sounds like the narrator’s voice has been put through the most robotic of autotunes!
I read the book for my first baby and found it really valuable and empowering during my birth so thought I do a quick hands free refresh via audiobook before baby number two arrives, but even at 1.3X speed am not going to be able to listen to this version. Such a shame. Would love to hear Ina May - or a human that sounds like a human - read it. Sorry Randye, but am almost positive your actual voice does not sound like this.
