So the story continues. Illicit secret meetings spy's, etc that finally make her run from a husband and ends with her tragic death

I enjoy books by Helen plenty going on to keep you interested. Love the plots and storyline has a few unexpected surprises. Has a good narration.

Why does she sound strained and also scared? I listen to all books on 1.4-1.5x and not even that could help. I got about one minute in and couldn’t bear to listen. Disappointed for the author as what might be a good book can’t be listened to due to the narrator.
