I first discovered this story last year and loved reading it so much. The delivery of this performance only enhanced an already charming text. Absolutely wonderful!

A fun adventure to follow loveable characters through. Sophie, Michael, Howl, Calcifer and all the others will be with me for a long time :)

This book is great because of all the magic. It was really exciting. My favourite character is either Howl or Michael. I wish there were dragons. - Lu (7)

I remember reading the book many years ago, before I watched the movie but after it came out, and I have to say that I still enjoyed the book more.

Atherton brings all the characters to life, and I especially like how she makes a point of doing the... appropriate accent for certain characters.

That said, I didn't realise that the writing itself wasn't as good as I remember. But a recommend from me overall (not that I expect my word, as a nobody, should mean much to anyone).
