Story
Is it possible that the choices you make in every moment of every day have a direct effect on the world around you? Could it be that our ancient ancestors left precise instructions for us on how to use our choices to bring healing to our bodies and lasting peace to our modern world? In Speaking the Lost Language of God: Awakening the Forgotten Wisdom of Prayer, Prophecy, and the Dead Sea Scrolls, you'll discover that the answer to these and similar questions is a resounding "Yes!"
Publisher's Summary
Do you have trouble setting and achieving your goals?
Do you procrastinate, or put things off till the last moment?
The truth is...80 percent of New Year's resolutions have failed by February. Why? Because people were simply never taught how to set goals properly. Most goals are never completed on time. And even highly-skilled and dedicated professionals, still struggle to accomplish goals, and overcome procrastination.
The solution lies in understanding the innate psychological forces that conspire against us. We must become aware of these mental traps which prevent us from getting things done.
What if I told you that the Japanese have solved this problem?
In this audiobook, we'll be introducing you to three concepts from Japan:
- Hansei - The art of honest self-reflection.
- Ikigai - How to find your "true calling."
- Kaizen - Goal achievement--through incremental progress.
Each one of these techniques is a powerful goal-setting aid. But when combined together, they can multiply your productivity by a factor of 10, and make your most ambitious dreams appear achievable!
This Audiobook Will Teach You How to Discover Your Purpose and Accomplish Any Goal You Set!
You will understand why so many Fortune 500 companies (like Toyota, Nestle, and Lockheed Martin) have enthusiastically adopted Kaizen with great success.
You will learn:
- Why traditional goal-setting causes so many people and projects to fail.
- The one clever trick that immediately allows you to stop procrastinating, and start working.
- The Japanese method to find your life's purpose, and ignite the flames of internal motivation that stir within you.
- The one-minute principle that makes the laborious chore of "habit-forming" much, much easier.
- How to avoid allowing excuses or inconsequential interruptions from disturbing your productivity.
- And how to utilize the art of "incremental progress" to overcome your brain's built-in tendency to resist risk and accepting ambitious tasks.
It doesn't matter if you're a student or an entrepreneur, these techniques will work! So don't spend another day waiting. Make the decision to stop wasting time, and start accomplishing goals!
If you're ready to become a "productivity powerhouse", then get the audiobook now!

Straight-talking and realistic
I found the book inspiring and it has motivated me to make changes to my routines and practices; only small ones, nothing drastic, but I am hoping this means I will be able to continue with them long term. I appreciated the lack of bloviated "YOU CAN ACHIEVE 10X MASTERY IN 7 DAYS" messaging. At one point the author apologises if his message sounds depressing, but I found it encouraging: I'm just ordinary, nothing special, but I can improve myself and work on my ikigai. I'm never related to the term 'passion',' in terms of "follow your passion", and thinking of ikigai as something I suffer for, rather than something that I'm enthusiastic and hyped about 24/7 has been perhaps the most useful takeaway of the book for me. I will be re-listening immediately. The author's narration is very calming and reassuring.

The easiest life changing read ever
This book is a must read for anyone into goal planning and vision planning. As the book states everyday is filled with goals so why not make the most of them by planning effectively. I have been searching for my Ikigai and pursuing the teaching of vision board workshops, Kaizen has explained to me why I haven’t fully understood the whole process and why it kept overwhelming me. This book must be a part of any planners library and has inspired me to purchase a hard copy to work with. It has also prompted and inspired me to study and master Kaizen. 🙏🏻

Interesting perspective to conscious goal setting!
Excellent review of the concepts of the East to help with self reflection, leading to owning the mistakes, overcoming self doubts, planning for a successful goal attainment by Ikigai through continuous improvement/Kaizen. Ikigai seems to be similar to finding your why, but the author has further broken down finding Ikigai into a set of practical questions, what skill do you love, do you think you can get better at the skill, can you earn money using this skill and can this skill help the community. Interesting perspective to conscious goal setting!

Calm and refreshing
I work for a manufacturing firm attempting to implement the Kaizen business model and was confused why it was not working, but now I do. The Japanese implement this model not in the attempt to increase revenue In a business, but to increase on ones way of living in a community. The business focuses on the physical environment but not on the relationship between people (talked about in the last chapter) which I can now appreciate and understand, but this unfortunately will never be implement or understood inside large corporations in today’s capitalist world.

Practical and insightful
I read this book as a follow on from another book about Ikigai. I am new to the concept and discovered it whilst looking for guidance about how to bring more peace, satisfaction and success to my life without travelling at frantic pace and feeling like success in one area of life required disappointment or compromise in others. This book has made me think differently and I’m already feeling the benefit. I’ll be looking for more books from this author to help me continue this practice. Many thanks and best wishes to the author. Karen

Content useful - short and to the point
A reminder about self-reflection, taking responsibility and how small incremental changes lead to major transformations. In places a bit basic but still it's things we forget / ignore for all kinds of reasons, some obvious and some hidden, which is the whole point. Not keen on the reader and a pet hate of mine - every indefinite article 'a' was pronounced 'ay' rather than 'ah' - began to sound ridiculous in some of the sentences!
