Publisher's Summary

River
When I meet Bentley DeGray, I’m at the lowest point in my life because no matter how much I fight, my past won’t let me escape. Bentley makes me laugh and care and love, but what does any of that mean when I’m living a lie?

Things get complicated when I find out he’s with the Vampire Related Crimes Unit, the organization looking for answers about the abductions of prominent vampires.

The same organization that stands in my way.

My time is ticking down while I’m wound up in this role I’ve been forced to play, but I know that I would be drowning without Bentley by my side.

Bentley
We’re facing something that runs so deep that we don’t know who we can trust besides each other, even within the VRC. River makes me feel like every day is worth living and enjoying - like I’m not so alone. I can’t imagine life without him. But I know that if I want to keep him by my side, I will need to do everything I can to help him so our love doesn’t get cut short before it can truly grow.

How to Save a Human contains a cat who shows her affection by not drawing (much) blood, art projects that are a little...sketchy, the most underwhelming “bull” ride ever, and vampires that may or may not be in the mob.

The narration is perfection

I loved the intermixed story from the previous books. Can’t wait for the finale and see what happens to the squad

Absolutely spectacular!

I have listened to all four books in a week, they just kept getting better and better! I hope to see more from this group! Bentley and River’s story was outstanding and I would happily listen again and again! That goes for the other books! I’m glad Bentley has found someone he can spend the rest of his life with! I can’t wait for the next book!

Another Alice Winters & Michael Ferraiuolo hit!

It's time for Bentley DeGray to finally take the spotlight. Bentley has been a bit in the background through this series, but this is his chance to shine, and shine he does.

Bentley is a bit more, shall we say, sane, than his colleagues, so the humour isn't page to page OTT for this one, but it's still there. Don't fear though, Finn and the gang provide more than enough memorable OTT humour moments throughout.

Michael Ferraiuolo did a wonderful job of giving Bentley and River their voices, as well as the rest of the crazy cast.

The timeline for this one starts during the events of book 1 and finishes after book 3. I recommend you read the first three books first for maximum enjoyment and so you can pick up the little scenes that tell you where in the series timeline you are at any point in the story.

Loved it!

Really enjoyed this latest story in the VRC landscape. Was good revisiting scenes from the previous books and seeing them from another perspective. Anyone only starting out in this series would be best starting at beginning to really understand and appreciate this one as it’s spans across the other storyline’s. As usual lots of funny laugh out loud moments to be had and an interesting storyline.
