some good info, but boring

The information isn't bad. the way its written and read makes it very hard to listen to while staying focused. I found my mind getting bored and wandering almost instantly every time.

Good book

Excellent. It adds structure to social interaction, confirms what you have been doing right, and illuminates what wrong you have been doing wrong, and how to do it right. As a person who deals mostly with computers, this is exactly what I needed.

I've listened on Communication Skills

This book should be listen by everyone with the ability to speak. Conversational interaction is a lost art form which can be resurrected by learning the techniques in this book! I found myself in need of many of the tips provided in the book - the big problem - failing to listen in the expansive mode, especially with a close friend. It will pay dividends over your life time!!!!

Great book with conversation suggestions

If I stop every now and then to think about what I have listen, the logic is there and seems to stay with me before I continue listening. It is incredible that I find myself thinking of something he has said when I am faced with a situation described in his book. When you finish this book, you will definitely have a practical scientific understanding of communication. I recommend.

The communication information

While listening you start to recognize your own mistakes and mishaps in communication and are provided with relevant alternative responses. First starting to analyze your own communication skills feels funny. However once you start to apply the information Ian provides, you have great interactions with people and communication becomes a source of pleasure! This is one of the greatest and least expensive investments I’ve made in my life and relationships and every day look forward to applying the knowledge in this book. Thank you Brian, truly.

other reviews must be fake

This guy has no idea what he's talking about, it's just a complete 3 hour ramble which doesn't give any practical advice or even accurate theory on social skills

Useful advice on conversational skills

The best book on social skills, hands down. He isn't someone who just listen a few books on social skills and calls himself afterwards an expert. All tips are practical and helpful, exactly as in all his other books. Very, very good, useful advice on conversational skills. Listen this book.

Insightful listen.

Has plenty of insightful advice, and while I already apply most of this to my life, there is always something to be learned or improved. The part about starting by being friends with your family stuck with me in particular, and the ideas on how friendship is built are also very interesting.
