I now have the tools

Our son struggled with addiction for years

Bought this for my son, He read it in a few days and looks back to it often. He actually asked Me if this author had any other books because it was so good! To bad he doesn’t. But if you are looking for a good book for someone with addiction and anxiety I highly recommend this one!

Very insightful

I was assigned this book for a psych class and loved it. While I found that the prescription for daily meditation might not be completely reasonable for my lifestyle I think that he does a great job of taking away the "hocus pocus" of meditation. The points about negative thinking were also life changing!

Excellent no nonsence advice!

Having listen many many books around the subject of depression/stress/anxiety & addiction, this book is by far the best & strips the subject down to the important nut & bolts of how you can help yourself without all the fancy/expensive tecniques.

great and simple self help book

Disappointed he Doesn't Mention Antabuse

found this book by doing an internet search of doctors who prescribe Antabuse, and found the author's website. Joseph Griffith regularly prescribes Antabuse to his patients, as a relapse prevention strategy, but he doesn't mention this in his book, which I found disappointing.
