About this listen
Bryce Quinlan and Hunt Athalar are trying to get back to normal—they may have saved Crescent City, but with so much upheaval in their lives lately, they mostly want a chance to relax. Slow down. Figure out what the future holds.
The Asteri have kept their word so far, leaving Bryce and Hunt alone. But with the rebels chipping away at the Asteri's power, the threat the rulers pose is growing. As Bryce, Hunt, and their friends get pulled into the rebels' plans, the choice becomes clear: stay silent while others are oppressed, or fight for what's right. And they've never been very good at staying silent.
In this sexy, action-packed sequel to the #1 bestseller House of Earth and Blood, Sarah J. Maas weaves a captivating story of a world about to explode—and the people who will do anything to save it.

Performance was incredible as always. I was hoping book 2 would be a faster pace considering book 1 was very long and setting up the world. I know Sarah JMass's style is to leave all the excitement to the end of the book so I'm looking forward to part 2 but part one has been a bit of a snooze. I'm grateful to have the dramatised adaption to improve it. Very much setting up for whatever twist is to come and slowly building on things. I'm interested but the story hasn't been riveting. I've easily paused and gone between this book and others without feeling compelled to keep going. Fingers crossed things amp up a bit.
After reasing the third book- actually more tedious and repetitive than this one. DNF'd at the END of part 2 because I was over it. Best parts were the beginning with some specific characters and that was it. Don't recommend this series at all.
