Publisher's Summary

Maya has never had much to complain about. Sure, her parents are absent a lot, having important jobs in the government, but at the end of the day, she has all the material possessions a girl could want. Not to mention a great best friend and secure spot in the popular group at her school.

Yet she can never shake the feeling of displacement. Constantly searching for something that’s missing from her life.

Turns out Maya is part of something much bigger than her human existence, and after a mysterious stranger saves her from an ambush at a party, he brings her into his world.

And turns her world completely upside down.

Voice Narration

Great story! Different narrator used from books 1&2. This narrator had to soft tone for Masculine personalities.

Every book it is just as good as the first!

I loved the story and the reader did good she just wasn't very good at the male voices so those were kind of hard to listen too.

Teen book for sure

This had potential, however, I was so tired of listening to her immature inner dialogue about Chase and how she just can’t live without someone she met 24 hours previously. If you removed all of that crap you would have about 2 hours of story. I only have about 2 hours left in the book and they have only spoken about 20 sentences to each other but are so in love... pause to roll my eyes about 150 times! The narration was lacking. I struggled through it because I’m no quitter. I will listen to the last one. Surely it will get better. There is nothing to like about these 2 main characters. I feel no emotional attachment because there has been no building of them. They are just present. I’m sorry to sound so negative but this was just really bad.

Pretty good

My big issue is the narrator change. So frustrating, but eventually I got use to it. Now, it’s waiting for the final book to become available on audible.

New reader

I get why the author may have wanted to change the reader but honestly I much perfected the reader of the first 2 books. This new reader just didn’t have as diverse of voices which allowed a lot of the characters to all sound the same, especially the men. She did a good job, you could understand her but I’d really like the first reader to come back; she really brought the characters to life with their own voiced personalities. The story was just as amazing as all of the books so far. I love this series and I’ll be reading it again and again.

Fantastic

The story is really cool and better than the previous book. A short but well structured story with a creative storyline. It's a teens-oriented book, but it offers entertaining for the aldultos who like fanciful stories.
