A brilliant new series for Maasians
Absolutely loved it. I loved that it was the same narrator as the Throne of Glass series too. cannot wait for book 2. the mystery had me hooked and the last third of the book had me on the edge of my seat.

That ending! Perfect!
It was a slow start, but that ending had me on the edge of my seat, worth every second. LOVED IT!!

Started well and got better.
I loved it.
I picked this book randomly so I didn't expect much, so I was super surprised when I became invested in it.
My first S.J.Maas story coupled with Elizabeth Evans reading to me made for a complete experience. I look forward to more, and will revisit this tale in the future.

Blown Away
Delightfully unexpected, I was drawn in by superb, world building, character development and very unorthodox plot, right to the epilogue.
I can not wait for the second installment, I hope it lives up to this wonderful tale.

Loved it!
Didn’t think I’d like this as much as I did. I’m a big fan of her Throne of Glass series so thought I’d try this one and I’m not disappointed that I did. Don’t listen to it via speaker if you have kids (like I embarrassingly did)as there’s some sexy stuff.
