Publisher's Summary

Gabby's brain is like a human fish finder. It comes in handy when she wants to avoid people. Mostly men. They seem to like her a bit too much. It's lonely being different, but she's adapted to it. Really. She just wishes she knew why she is different, though.

In her search for answers, she discovers a hidden community of werewolves. She immerses herself in their culture, learning about their world until she meets Clay. He's unkempt, prone to mood swings, and intense without saying a word, and he thinks Gabby is his.

It's going to take every trick she knows to convince Clay to go away - and every bit of willpower not to fall for him when she discovers the man beneath the rough exterior.

Delve into a riveting world of werewolves and young women with unexplained abilities in Hope(less).

Judgement has begun....

The Eternal Cliffhanger

Ok. Great story. Amazing characters--most of the time. Big, exciting finish and then? Nothing! The next book in the series picks up with completely different characters. WTH?? I won't be listening to the sequels anytime soon. I think this kind if ending is completely irresponsible on the part of the author. If you want readers to be invested in characters, you can't just yank them away and start over with new people. Other authors have successfully added new characters without tossing out the old--think Jaymin Eve's "First World" series--so I truly don't understand the decision to go this route. Not a happy camper.

Run! Don't walk, away from this book.

Confusing plot, weak heroine. Premise seemed to have potential, but never satisfying at any point. Made no sense. Bismal ending. The next sequel does not take off at the ending of this book, which it promised it would.

It was just “ok”

Was expecting a good wolf/human story. Turned into a boring , make it end, book. Main character,Gabby, was a one dimensional no real personality. Nothing to connect the reader to it. The hero, Clay, was okay but no Strong male lead here, more an omega. Really disappointed in this read. Expected so much more with the description, book underperformed.

Took too long to get to the point.

Any additional comments?

This was a painfully long book to listen to. The story just went on and on with no real plot until the last third of the book. You got your typical werewolf mate bond/heroine in denial story except werewolf stays mostly in wolf form and never speaks to her. She spends the whole book trying to interpret what he is thinking. I get the whole actions speak louder than words but without anything else going on in the story it got old real fast. By the end I just didn't care anymore. This series is not for me. Would have been better if there had been more about the plot and less about the werewolf/heroine interaction.

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book and their story. I regret not having a chance to read it sooner. The story is absolutely amazing, I never expected the turns and twists in it. I loved being surprised by the characters and their actions. And the story is so original, I have never read anything like that before.

Over all I have to say, Wow just wow. Brilliant writing. I really enjoy the way Melissa writes, and OMG what is she doing to me??? That ending just left me desperate for more! I can't wait to read the next of the series.

Fantastic version

Would you listen to Hope(less) again? Why?

I would definitely listen to it again. I love the story and the characters.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Clay is my favorite character. I love how protective he is of Gabby all while giving her the space she needs.

Which scene was your favorite?

Vet

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed until I cried at some of the snarky dialogue. There were times I was angry with Gabby because of the way she treated Clay.

Any additional comments?

One of my favorite books of all time.

Great story & narration

This is a well-written story. I will likely read the next book in the series. The narration added some additional depth.

Narrator ruins the story

I finally had to stop listening and get the kindle book. The narrator of this book has a very annoying habit of dropping the first sound in a sentence, such as I or we or he. It made it hard to follow the story at times, and made it sound like the book wasn’t well written. She hardened the first syllable of some of the names, making Sam sound like Dam and Charlene like Darlene. She also had varying speed and volume, especially when speaking a man’s part, so parts of the conversation were difficult to hear. Glad I can finish the story another way, because it’s interesting and deserves better narration.
