Stanley Yelnats' family has a history of bad luck, so when a miscarriage of justice sends him to Camp Green Lake Juvenile Detention Centre (which isn't green and doesn't have a lake), he is not surprised.

he doesnt read it like a conversation like taking breaths at the end of sentences and also sometimes stays silent so the chapter or sentance can sink in and its very relistenabke i’ve listened to this about 100 times this year (probably more)

It’s been a while since I enjoyed a book as much as this.
A simple story, with unexpected detours, and a superb narrator- so natural and engaging that he could have been sitting next to me on the sofa.
