Harrowing account of D-Day and the days following
The fighting on D-Day and the subsequent days by the Canadians to hold the beachhead at Juno were exceptionally fierce. This account pieces together different units, with individual soldier's accounts to give a human aspect to the battle. It was a little overwhelming and might have been good to listen to with some maps of the terrain and locations. Worth a listen - maybe we can avoid doing this all again.

Bravery and Hell
I enjoyed this book and was sadden by how brutal it was not just the fighting but buy how the Germans treated the soldiers that surrendered.We should never forget what happened in this battle and always respect those who went to war.It changes everyone's world but it doesn't change for those who prosper from it.
