Hills of Shivers and Shadows is a dark, intense read. The story follows Frankie after she is kidnapped, and her heartbreaking journey and struggles living in a remote cabin, in freezing conditions with no means of escape.

I absolutely loved the way the author portrays the relationships Frankie builds with the boys. She brings moments of connection, strength, and hope during the darkness. Pam Godwin does an incredible job of making you truly hate Denver while fully rooting for Frankie and the boys.

This book is emotionally heavy and very confronting at times, but I absolutely loved it. I cannot wait to read the next part of the series.

This book was captivating, thrilling and set in the Alaskan Wilderness for the majority of the book gave it a great dark element and a sense of helplessness for Frankie. I loved the hate Frankie has for her Captor Denver along with his sons Kodiak, Leonid and Wolfson and the plot twists and shock revelations in this book keep you going and there are a lot of shocking secrets revealed.

Will she escape these 4 Men or will she make a deal with the devil?

The Brad Pitt references are odd but perfect for this book.
