Odd, underdeveloped, with awful reader
The female protagonist lacks depth and is difficult to like -- the author did not give much of a backstory to explain her character, magic or skills. And what's with all the cats? Weird, and not in the amusing way. The first thing I noticed, however, was the dreadful narration. It was much too slow, and got even slower whenever the narrator switched to a Scottish accent for dialogue between characters. I changed the speed to 1.25 (first time ever), and it began to sound a little more normal, but not completely. Give this one a miss.
