Barbara Erskine books have always held me captured to the story unable to stop listening. I have read or listened to the all. Whilst I enjoyed this story I found it was slightly long winded and I was never enthralled! Please listen and decide for yourself!

I’m a huge fan of Barbara Erskine and have read/listened to most of her books. At 19 and a half hours long I felt that this book could have been shorter without compromising the story. But considering the length of it; I still felt that the conclusion didn’t tie up some loose ends or just ended abruptly. (I can’t elaborate without spoiling the ending).
