Publisher's Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

A high-stakes hide-and-seek competition turns deadly in this dark supernatural thriller from New York Times best-selling author Kiersten White, perfect for fans of Stephen King and Squid Game.

The challenge: spend a week hiding in an abandoned amusement park and don't get caught.

The prize: enough money to change everything.

Even though everyone is desperate to win—to seize their dream futures or escape their haunting pasts—Mack feels sure that she can beat her competitors. All she has to do is hide and she's an expert at that.

It's the reason she's alive and her family isn't.

But as the people around her begin disappearing one by one, Mack realises this competition is more sinister than even she imagined, and that together might be the only way to survive.

Fourteen competitors. Seven days. Everywhere to hide, but nowhere to run.

Come out, come out, wherever you are.

Great, easy read

Didn't see the way everything unfolded coming, it all wove together nicely while exploring some interesting characters.

Very Cabin in the Woods

The beginning is better than the end. It feels like there could be another book to explain what happens next. It starts out creepy and you get to know a few character's stories along the way but the 2nd half of the book left me wanting more.

Hide & Seek has never been so scary!

Raced through this one at top speed - couldn't stop, was even a struggle to hit pause & go to sleep. Some genuine thrills and chills, and a monster many might not expect. Great twist at the end & some sad moments when favourites are lost in battle. Not too long, just the right length and no overwriting. Short, sharp and shocking with well-drawn characters. Recommend for fans of some of Stephen King's shorter novels/stories and for fans of writer Grady Hendrix. Happy reading!
