For many centuries – far more than we commonly even think of – herbs were man’s best medicine. For every nuisance, there was a plant that had properties that could heal it. As time has passed and science has evolved, we have slowly drifted away from these millenary healing aids, and have become more skeptic regarding their usage.

However, we all know at least that one mix of herbs our grandmothers or mothers always gave us when we were ill, which seemed to heal us better than any over-the-counter or prescription drug. And even if we move away from our singular personal experiences, we can observe how there’s been an increase in alternative treatments that far differ from conventional medicine, and that have promising and optimal effects. We’re not meaning to say that you should just discard what is now conventional medicine and just go out and stock your first-aid kit with herbs and nothing but that. What we do suggest is giving some plant-based alternatives a try, to see for yourself that nature has wonderful medicines you can even harvest in your own home.
