This isn’t the kind of book I would normally read but I had listened to another book narrated by Nicola Coughlan and had enjoyed it immensely so decided to give this a try. I have never picked a book based on the narrator before but she is a very talented performer, she did so many accents and I love listening to her beautiful voice. She really brought the story to life.

The story itself is fantastic! I was completely sucked in to the entire world and loved it. The characters are flawed and sympathetic at the same time and I was completely invested in them all. I can’t wait for the next book in the series

Juno Dawson knows how to draw the reader into a vortex of mystical mastery! My interest in witchy novels had waned but has now been reinvigorated. AND Nicola Coughlin .. no words for how well you read this story .. you were perfect and are my new fave narrator. 5+stars!!

I hadn’t read many supernatural themed books since being a teen, and this was the most perfect dive back into it. I genuinely don’t feel I could fault it. I am now dying to get my hands on anything by Juno.

Loved the narration and the story line. The Irish narration took a chapter for me to find the rhythm and now I cannot imagine listening to the story without it.
