Based on true life - amazing how people survive

Dr Ray tells a wonderfully crafted story on his experiences caring for women in the Himalayas.
After listening to it, we in the west have little to complain about - it’s humbling.

An inspirational story, sensitively and entertainingly delivered

Dr Ray’s narration of Heartbreak in the Himalayas adds so much to what is already an incredible story. His sensitive and soothing voice guides us on an incredible adventure filled with beauty and sadness but ultimately hope and inspiration. It is also filled with so much humour. Dr Ray’s accents are a tour de force. I couldn’t help but be moved.

Deeply Moving

Dr Hodgson can add narration to his long and impressive list of talents. Heartbreak in the Himalayas is not only a journey through the picturesque mountains of Nepal, but a journey into your human identity. Poppy’s story is skilfully woven with a lesson in empowerment and humility. I challenge anyone to read this book and not be left with a burning desire to join the battle against inequality. A true call to arms.

Inspiring

Dr Ray brings to life the tragedy & sheer joy of the lives of women in Nepal. Highlighting the appalling state of women’s health in rural Nepal you’re taken on a journey with an Australian team of volunteers making a difference to their lives. Well done Dr Ray & team, well done Australians for Women’s Health-A4WH
