Critic Reviews

"Roberts is triumphant in realizing fully developed characters, as both Trevor and Darcy turn out to be vulnerable human beings with appealingly ordinary hopes and dreams." ( Publishers Weekly)

love the book but found it a slight shame that it randomly did not follow the story line of the previous 2 books

Lovely finish to the trilogy

Is wasn’t as satisfying as the first two books more a book to cause anxiety as the main characters are both so Stubborn in there mannerisms. I felt that I wanted to hit them over the head to tell them to wake up and speak out.

Heart of the Sea

Would you consider the audio edition of Heart of the Sea to be better than the print version?

I did not read the print version but I would assume so.. listening to a story about the Irish with someone reading it with the Irish accent adds to the story.

Any additional comments?

I was sad when the series was over, I loved listening to Irish having Irish background my self. Feeling like old friends who are now gone .

Terrible narration.

That was the most cringe worthy audible experience I have had. Could not finish the book.

Number one fan of Nora Roberts!

I not only liked this book it’s my favorite of all three. I have read (heard) since I am hearing it for the fifth time and will listen again in a few months time. Darcy is my favorite character since book one. I have told everyone who will listen to me about these books. Though these three are running neck to neck with the McGreger series.

Bad reader

This reader is so bad I didn't think I could finish it. The reader is atrocious. Stilted speaking, spaced out ever word, breathing stops in the middle of a sentence that breaks it apart incorrectly so that you almost miss that the rest of the sentence pertained to the earlier part. That kind of disruption ruins the story having to go back and make sense of it. I don't understand how producers or directors don't fix these while being produced. In fact, I had to return the book because I can't listen to this ever again.

great story

Loved the story; have read it several times. Was disappointed with the narrator though, the narration was choppy and sometimes without the emotion that went with the story.

Great End to a Wonderful Trilogy

This book is the best out of the series. I was sad to have it end. The characters and story line was so well developed and came together beautifully. This book kept me interested the entire time!

Brilliant

By far one of my favorite trilogies of all time! I laughed, I cried, Nora Roberts is amazing. The Narrator was fantastic and sweeps you along this lovely Irish town, portraying characters remarkably well. I love all three of these books in the Irish Jewel Trilogy.

wont stop me from trying again

As romances go, it had all the requirements, with a little fairy magic thrown in, however, the reader was American and tried to do and Irish accent, being Irish, it made me cringe, it was as bad as Dick Van Dikes cockney in Mary Poppins. She also once got her American and Irish people mixed up. I had to stop listening. I may go back to it later on but for now........
