A great core wrapped in nonsense

If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?

The core message of a paleo lifestyle being great for health and focusing on high quality unprocessed foods is just lost in the noise of nonsense anti vaccine, doctors are nothing but profit hungry monsters, anything natural is somehow good.

Would you ever listen to anything by Jack Wolfson again?

unlikely

What does Marcus Freeman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

The presentation was great, no complaints there

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Paleo Cardiologist?

Sadly given the nature of the book it's just nonsense propaganda that seems to be primarily aimed at funneling people to buy vitamins from their website

Any additional comments?

Please don't waste your time with this if you're interested in paleo based lifestyle information. The main message of the benefits of trying to be healthy i this modern world is lost in a sea of naturalistic fallacy nonsense

HOLISTIC HEALTH IS THE WAY TO GO!

I loved this book. Being a chiropractic student myself this is right up my alley. Anyone wanting to live their life to the fullest should check out this book. It can get you on track to a healthy life style and can help you turn a 180 from a world pumping a healthy view into our brains that's furthest from the truth.

Highly recommended for everyone, MUST READ

If you could sum up The Paleo Cardiologist in three words, what would they be?

Live Long and Be Thankful for the knowledge

What other book might you compare The Paleo Cardiologist to and why?

None, Paleo Cardiologist explains everything in details, and how to keep yourself healthy. I recently had a heart attack and been on Statin pills for many years, this was a full wake up call and to help reverse plaque build up.

Not just for cardiology patients!

I read this book because my husband has a heart problem and I didn't like the idea of just medicating him and leaving him to slowly get worse. I learned natural ways to help him, and to help me! The book is laid out well, the science is easy to understand, and all of the advice is practical and doable. I'm more optimistic about our family's future after reading this book!

Valuable Book, worth the read.

Would you listen to The Paleo Cardiologist again? Why?

No, once I listen to a non-fiction book like this, if I like the book, then I order the print version for reference. Especially for a book like this, with lists and recipes.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Paleo Cardiologist?

Author is a cardiologist who is now practicing Functional Medicine and he gives a good overview of and rationale for Functional Medicine principles.

Did Marcus Freeman do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

The Narrator Marcus Freeman, does not know how to pronounce many of the technical and medical terms, which is distracting. And there is a technical issues where the narration skips a small section of the book.

Overall great book but had some errors

Would you listen to The Paleo Cardiologist again? Why?

I would listen to the Paleo cardiologist again. It was very well researched and looked at natural health from a cardiology standpoint which was interesting. I gave the book 4 stars instead of 5 because there were a few errors in the book.
1. The author states that squash and zucchini are part of the nightshade family which they are not.
2. This isn't really an error more of a bad way to write things. In one section of the book he talks about the great work of Dr. Weston Price and than pretty much in the same breath talks about how bad dairy is. Dr. Price observed huge health benefits from RAW dairy but the author doesn't mention this.
3. The author mentions that lab animals live in deplorable conditions. This is completely wrong. I have been working with lab animals for almost 10 years and it is a misconception that these animals are treated poorly. These animals are treated amazingly well and live in clean and comfortable conditions. They are anything but 'deplorable.'
Finally not an error but a comment, this book suggests many things but many of the suggestions would be too expensive for most people to implement.
