Straight_Arrow speaks

I first heard Les Brown speak some 20 years ago, and was blown away by the mans' sense and way of communicating.
I was equally thrilled by this presentation.
He is every bit the master communicator and motivator.
The love and compassion that interweaves his style of communication resonates strongly with me, and I am so delighted to have experienced a presentation by Mamy Browns' little baby boy once again.
I can't wait for the next one

I love Les!

I wouldn't say Les Brown's material is new, but listening to him speak makes me feel really charged up to do more with myself. When I get frustrated with things, suddenly I can hear his voice in my mind saying "You've gotta be hungry!" That means to me I've got to persist and do what it takes to get what I want. I've listened to many motivational speakers with great material, yet still something was missing. I think Les Brown gets to my emotions more than others. This seminar was a great addition to my audio library!

Cheerleader

If your are looking for something thought provoking that will stir your mind and create new resolve, you can do a lot better with other books (Jim Rohn comes to mind). This book is short and is mostly rah rah cheerleading to try to get you motivated. He continuosly asks the audience to say things out loud or to the person sitting next to them - I suppose trying to create positive energy by verbalizing concepts. If you need a little push this book is fine. If you are looking for answers or insights this isn't going to do it.

Good CD

The negative reviews here are a little unfair - I found the CD to be amusing at times and, yes, it is stuff we have heard before but I still enjoyed the presentation.

OK. But, not his best

This speech is so-so at best. I would suggest you find some of his older stuff like "The Courgage to Live Your Dreams" series. That was Les at his finest.

Same stuff

Just like he says right out of the gate, this is old stuff. Was very disappointed that the book was soooo short and the same stuff I've heard from every self-help book out there.

Greatness indeed!

There are very few speakers that have come from Les Brown's humble beginnings and achieved the level of success he has. He is a walking testimony for his own message. Very dynamic and entertaining!

Far too Americanised for British Audience

Far too preachy and Americanised for me. I liked the overall message, but it's not new, too shouty. Les was breathless and spoke about himself too much.

Outstanding Commentary

Really makes you understand and think about what are willing to do with the time you have here as we will never have it again.
